Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Profession: Cardiac Cath Lab Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-17:30 Hours per Shift: 10.5 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in the cardiovascular specialty License: Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Adult Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: - Minimum of an Associate Degree or graduation from an approved Cardiovascular Training Program or an accredited Allied Health Program - Effective communication and data collection skills - Ability to assist in diagnostic examinations and procedure preparations - Availability for on-call commitment, 1 weeknight and 1 weekend per month Description: Invasive Cardiovascular Technologists are allied health professionals. They perform diagnostic examinations at the request of an Interventional Cardiologist. These examinations pertain to invasive cardiology, noninvasive cardiology, and peripheral vascular study procedures. The technologist obtains information through subjective data collection and recording. This information is essential for establishing a correct anatomical and physiological diagnosis for each patient. Candidates should be committed to maintaining required certifications and skills relevant to the role.
