Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Cath Lab Technician Specialty: Cardiac Catheterization Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 0700 - 1930 Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience License: National License for Cardiac Cath Lab Technician (RCIS) Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: Completion of required personal health forms Submission of annual TB screening Completion of background check Completion of drug screening Description: The Cath Lab Tech is responsible for assisting in the preparation and performance of cardiovascular procedures. This role requires strong technical skills and knowledge of cardiac equipment and procedures. The Cath Lab Tech will collaborate effectively with the medical team to ensure patient safety and comfort. Adherence to infection control protocols is essential. Strong communication skills are necessary to provide clear information to patients and team members. The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Cath Lab Tech must be prepared to handle emergency situations effectively. Ongoing education and skills assessment are a part of the role. Compliance with all health and safety regulations is mandatory. The ability to work flexible hours is expected.
