The unit contains 4 Cath Labs, with 2 Cath Labs and 2 EP Labs. The team consists of 9 Cath Lab staff and 8 EP Lab staff. The day shift features a nurse manager, with teams of 3-4 persons in the Cath Lab and teams of 3 persons in the EP Lab. On-call duties are required approximately 1-2 nights per week and one weekend per month. Staff must be within 30 minutes of the facility to meet call requirements. The equipment used includes Siemens X-Ray equipment, GE Mac Lab recording, and Meditech EMR. Common procedures performed in this role include right/left heart caths, PCI, diagnostic/interventional peripherals, EKOS, PFO occluders, and nitric oxide studies. Other procedures include pacemaker/ICD implants, EP ablations, Watchman implants, and interventional radiology. Preferred skills include EP Lab experience, experience with EP device placement, EP studies, peripheral vascular intervention experience, flexibility with scheduling, and the ability to take extra call.
