Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Profession: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day shift Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Relevant State License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT Must-Have: Candidates must be competent in Special Procedures and GE Innova. Description: Unit Information: This unit features 4 rooms with 1 patient per room. There are 22 staff members, including RNs and Techs. The staffing includes 1 Charge RN and 4 staff members per room during the day shift. The night shift consists of an on-call team. The patient ratio is 1:1. All rooms are equipped with GE equipment. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech and MacLab. Typical procedures performed include: Cardiac Catheterizations, Cerebellar angiograms, stent placements, and balloon procedures. The environment is described as fast-paced and requires critical thinking with a strong focus on patient care. Flexibility and adaptation to the needs of the unit are essential, as on-call responsibilities are frequent. Dress Code: The dress code includes red and gray in the Cath and EP labs, with the option to use unit scrubs.
