Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Profession: Cardiac Cath Lab Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role License: Not specified Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT Must-Have: Candidates must have competency in Special Procedures and GE Innova. Description: Unit Information: The unit has 4 rooms with 1 patient per room. There are 22 staff members, including RNs and techs. The day shift team consists of 1 Charge RN, a Director, and 4 staff members per room, totaling 16 per shift. The night shift team operates on an on-call basis with 3 in each call team, totaling 7. Patient ratios are maintained at 1:1. All equipment in the unit is GE. The EMR system in use is Meditech and MacLab. Typical procedures performed in the unit include cardiac catheterizations, cerebellar angiograms, stenting, balloon procedures, and scrubbing for ENT labs. The ideal candidate is a team player and a critical thinker with a focus on patient care. The work environment is fast-paced, and on-call duties are frequent, requiring flexibility and adaptability to the unit’s needs. Dress code requirements include appropriate scrubs in designated colors. This unit has received recognition as a top-performing facility and is known for its various specialized services.
