Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Profession: Cardiac Cath Lab Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 17:30 Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN Certifications: ACLS & BLS, RCIS Must-Have: Critical Care / Cath Lab experience Description: Unit Profile: The Cath Lab consists of 3 labs, including 2 dedicated labs and 1 hybrid OR. Patient ratios are 1:1. Staffing includes a Lead Tech, RN, and RCIS in teams of 3-4 persons, ideally comprising 2 Techs and 2 RNs. Equipment used includes IVUS, Shockwave, DFR, FFR, Rotablator, IABP, Impella, and TVP. The documentation system utilized is EPIC Cupid. Scheduling requirements include 4 ten-hour shifts with on-call duty. Experience in ICU or ER is required. Desired skills include critical care medication management and experience in complex interventions. Procedures performed include RHC/LHC, Complex PCI, CTO, TAVR, TMVR, Watchman, PFO closure, ASD/VSD closure, TVP placement, Impella CP & RP, and IABP.
