Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 9.5 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Not specified Certifications: ACLS Description: This is a travel position for a Cath Lab Tech. The hours are from 6:45 AM to 4:15 PM. The unit specializes in cardiac procedures. The unit has 3 holding bays and 2 cath suites. There are 9 staff members in the team. Patient ratios are typically 3 staff to 1 patient in the cath lab procedural area. Common equipment used includes GE Innova Fluoro Systems and Mac Lab EMR. The typical procedures performed include LHC, RHC, PCI, peripheral diagnostic and intervention, pacers, ICDs, cardioversions, TEE, tilt table tests, and dobutamine stress tests. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, flexibility, and a commitment to high-quality patient care. On-call responsibilities are shared among the team. Candidates must live within 30 minutes of the facility for on-call coverage. The schedule is structured to divide on-call days evenly over a 4-week rotation. One weekend on-call is attempted per 4-week block, but this may vary based on staffing needs. This is a high-functioning team with engaged physicians.
