  • Position: Cath Lab Technologist
  • Location: Athens
  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks
  • Shift: Day Shift
  • Schedule: 4x10
  • Experience Required: 2 Years
  • Weekly Pay: $2500 to $2700
Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Prepare the cardiac catheterization lab for procedures by ensuring equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly
  • Operate fluoroscopy and other specialized imaging equipment during cardiovascular procedures
  • Scrub and circulate during cardiac, vascular, and interventional procedures as required
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and assist with patient care throughout procedures
  • Prepare and administer contrast media according to physician orders and facility protocols
  • Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection prevention standards
  • Assist with hemostasis, patient transfer, and post-procedure care
  • Document procedure details accurately in the electronic medical record
  • Perform routine equipment quality checks and report maintenance issues
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, registered nurses, radiologic technologists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure outstanding patient care
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Technology program
  • Active Georgia Radiologic Technologist License, if required
  • Current ARRT (R) Certification or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab Technologist experience
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • ACLS Certification required
  • Experience assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, hemodynamic monitoring, sterile technique, and radiation safety
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced procedural environment
  • Commitment to providing exceptional, patient-centered care
