Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, ARRT R*, BLS, CCI RCES*, CCI RCIS*, CVT also accepted* Must-Have: - Accessing/Managing Ports - Accurate monitoring - Angioplasty - Baseline Measurements - Cardiac Stent Placement - Carotid Stenting - Central Venous Access (non-Tunneled/PICC lines) - Central Venous Access/Port Placement - Central Venous Lines - Care and Maintenance - Diagnostic Cardiac Cath lab - Pediatric/Neonatal Experience - Diagnostics Catheterizations - Dialysis Graft Creation/Revision - Endovascular Interventions - Impella insertion Description: Schedule includes 6 weeks working 4 ten-hour days followed by 1 week of five eight-hour days. This schedule allows for one long weekend every six weeks. Weekend call requirements are included in the schedule. Call will be 12-14 days over a six-week period, with the expectation of working 1-2 weekends during that time. Candidates must stay within a 30-minute radius during on-call periods. The unit accepts first-time travelers. Candidates will be reviewed by clinical staff to ensure fit. If clinical pass meets guidelines, the candidate will go to management for final decision. Requests for time off can be a maximum of 7 days. Travelers are expected to work one major holiday during their assignment period. If two major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work both. Key holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Full compliance is required to start on time. Non-compliance could result in a push-back of two weeks due to scheduling. Travel experience is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in various necessary skills related to the position. Patient care will involve adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, with a daily census of 4-12 patients. The unit consists of 2 procedure rooms with support from interdisciplinary teams. Experience with specific technologies and procedures pertinent to Cath Lab is preferred.
