Summary of Primary FunctionDelivers patient care utilizing the nursing process through data collection and assessment, identifies and determines the priority of patient s problems/needs, and evaluates the process and outcome of nursing care; coordinates, provides and directs patient teaching activities and coordinates the care provided by health team members. Essential Job FunctionsIn collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team, conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment and evaluates treatment effectiveness; administers medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and organization policies and procedures; serves as point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments. Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department. Incorporates the professional practice model into care delivery Schedule 7:30 am 6:00 pm + call requirements. Manager to discuss the call requirements during the interview May be asked to float to cover Cath/EP and possibly TEE/CVs. If they cover TEE/CVs, it would be intra-procedure only, and the primary responsibility is documenting timeout, procedure tracking, and circulating the room for minor things that may be needed. While it should be rare that we would need them to cover TEE/CVs, Manager can review further. RCIS Experience: Minimum amount of experience to get required licensure/certifications/registrations outlined below is required. RCIS Licensure/Certification: Must maintain active Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Registration with the SC Board of Medical Examiners; and Must maintain active RCIS certification through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI); and Must maintain active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS for Healthcare Provider. In addition to the above, RTs must also be registered in Radiologic Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART).
