Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist requiring 1+ year of recent Cath Lab experience and EPIC EMR proficiency for a diagnostic cardiac cath lab role.

Details

• Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab setting
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Routine cases performed on Sundays as part of the 4x10 schedule
• Requires 1 call shift per week and 1 call weekend within a 5-week period
• Requires 1 late stay shift per week
• 1:1 patient ratio
• May be required to float to other units or campuses within qualified competencies

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Cath Lab required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• ARRT-R certification required
• SCRQSA certification required
• License required if applicable
• 1-year minimum experience with EPIC EMR required
• Experience with cardiac catheterization procedures including diagnostic catheterizations (adult and pediatric/neonatal), left and right heart catheterization, and hemodynamic monitoring required
• Experience with interventional procedures such as PCI, PTCA, TAVR, Watchman, and rotablator atherectomy required
• Experience with device implants including permanent pacemakers, temporary pacemakers, IABP, Impella, and ventricular assist devices required
• Skilled in scrub procedures and maintaining sterile field
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including ASD closures, cardiac implant closure devices, and cardiac stent placement
• Responsible for procedural support including PA line insertion and optical coherence tomography (OCT)
• Follows isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Orientation occurs every Monday with annual compliance training required
• Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
