Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required; first-time travelers not accepted. License: Required valid state license. Certifications: BLS, ACLS and RCIS, RCES, or ARRT CV required. Must-Have: Experience with GE Discovery, IABP, Impella, and EKG settings. Description: Patient population includes adults to geriatrics. Candidates must possess the ability to interpret rhythms and obtain vital signs. Experience with pacemakers is preferred. Candidates will be expected to perform diagnostic catheterizations, PCI, orbital atherectomy, IABP, Impella, and device implants. No electrophysiology studies or ablations will be performed. The unit consists of three rooms with five beds and an average daily census of 8-10 patients. The work environment involves floating within the department and facility, as well as the possibility of floating to a sister campus. Call requirements include 10 call days per month. Travelers are expected to work major holidays that fall within the assignment period. Full compliance is required to start on time. Clinical candidates will be reviewed to determine fit before being sent for final decision.
