What You'll Need:

  • One of the following certifications is required: RCIS (CCI), RCES (CCI), RCS (CCI), Radiography (R) ARRT, Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI) ARRT, Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV) ARRT, Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) ARRT, Abdomen (AB) RDMS ARDMS, OB/GYN RDMS ARDMS, Adult Echocardiography (AE) RDCS ARDMS, or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) ARDMS.
  • BLS (AHA) certification required.
  • ACLS (AHA) certification required.
  • Two years of Diagnostic, Interventional Radiology, or Cath/EP Lab experience required.
  • Associate’s degree in cardiovascular technology, radiologic technology, or a healthcare-related field preferred.
  • PALS required to work/perform independently at pediatric facilities (preferred unless pediatric coverage not required).
  • Experience with advanced cath lab equipment and procedures, including IVUS, ICE, contrast injectors, hemodynamic monitoring systems, intra-aortic balloon pump, rotational atherectomy, thrombectomy, and mechanical circulatory support devices preferred.
  • Client requirement: ability to serve as a preceptor and resource for junior technicians and technologists, and to function as a radiation safety representative during procedures.

  • Shift hours: 0700-1500.
  • Shift days: Monday through Friday.
  • Call requirement: yes, periodic call coverage and weekend rotation as needed.
  • Role expectations: scrub and non-scrub support for diagnostic and interventional procedures, maintenance and setup of cath lab equipment, documentation of hemodynamics and procedures, aseptic technique adherence, and preceptor duties.
