Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT or CCI RCIS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred. - Travel experience required. - Clinical skills in cardiac procedures. Description: SCHEDULE: Weekend work is included in call requirements. CALL: 5 weekdays and 1 weekend every 6 weeks. FLOATING: Will float within facility as needed. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years required; the unit does not accept first-time travelers. CLINICAL SCREEN: Candidates will be reviewed for clinical fit. If candidates pass the clinical screen and meet guidelines, they will proceed to the manager for a final decision. Return to work requests must be finalized at the time of submission. Travelers are expected to work major holidays if they fall within the assignment period. If one major holiday falls during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. Full compliance is required to start on time; any delay may push the start date back by 2 weeks. Locals are accepted at the same rate. Compliance documents must be submitted in a timely manner. Must complete core onboarding items within 48 hours. Modules will be non-billable and are completed during orientation. Candidate skills required include cardiac implant closure device, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, and various other cardiac lab procedures and equipment maintenance.
