TRAVEL | Interventional Specialist – Catheterization Lab | Days 4x8's (7:00 - 15:30) | Akron, OH

Summary
The Interventional Specialist – Catheterization Lab assists cardiologists with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, electrophysiology (EP) studies, and radiofrequency (RF) ablations on newborns, children, and adults with congenital heart disease.

Responsibilities

• Assists interventional cardiologists by scrubbing into procedures as a sterile scrub assistant and managing x-ray equipment.
• Scrubs, circulates, and monitors diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures and EP ablation procedures.
• Monitors invasive cardiac waveforms and pressure gradients during procedures, including communicating patients' vital signs and EKG data.
• Orders and maintains par levels and performs general equipment troubleshooting.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Technical Expertise

• Experience with pediatric/adult congenital cases preferred.
• Experience with sterile technique preferred.
• Experience working with all levels within an organization required.
• Healthcare experience required.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software required.

Education and Experience

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program required.
• A.R.R.T. Radiography registry with current ODH licensure required. BLS required. ACLS and PALS certification required, or must be obtained within one year of hire.
• 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.
