Job Title: Cath Lab Technician Profession: Cath Lab Tech Specialty: Cath Lab - VBA Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 0645 - 1530 Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience License: National License (RCIS) Certifications: Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia Exam, BLS Must-Have: - Experience in a cardiac catheterization lab - Relevant certifications Description: The Cath Lab Technician is responsible for assisting with cardiac procedures in the catheterization lab. The technician will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care. Key duties include preparation of the lab for procedures, assisting physicians during procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs. The role requires adherence to safety and infection control protocols. The technician will document all procedures accurately in accordance with policies and procedures. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for this position. The technician must be knowledgeable about cardiac equipment and technologies. The ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patient safety is critical. Continuing education and credentialing will be required to ensure up-to-date skills and knowledge. The position may involve occasional on-call duties or overtime based on departmental needs.
