Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly turn into a Cancel and DNR. For this unit, techs start directly on the unit on Mondays until they have their dimensions training. Required skills include scrub and circulate for IR/Cath Lab procedures and cardiology procedures. Medication administration is performed by RN only. The unit will accept 26-week contracts. Call Requirement: Minimum of 7 call days per month. Typical Schedule: Two call days per week for two weeks each month, and one call weekend per month. Additional coverage may be required to meet departmental needs and will be rotated equitably among all staff members. Urgent/emergent cardiology and interventional radiology procedures are expected. Callback time is 30 minutes for STEMIs. IR callback time is determined based on procedure type. Call team consists of three staff members, one of whom is an RN. There is no float requirement and every third weekend is required. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. Special procedures include vice implants such as PPM and ICD. Assist the provider while performing diagnostic/interventional radiology and cardiology procedures. Scrub and circulate during IR/Cath Lab procedures and cardiology procedures. Special equipment includes GE MAC Lab, Philips iFR/IVUS, Canon and GE Labs, Angio Jet, and various ultrasound units. The unit is a combination lab for IR/Cardiology, with an approximate 90%/10% split with IR being the 90%. Float candidates must be open to floating within or near the facility per the job description. Candidate must go into the lab within 48 hours after signing. All testing must be completed within 48 hours.
