Echo Sonographer - MACC
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Under the supervision of the Echo Supervisor and following established technical standards, provides ultrasound images of the heart and related structures of patients of all ages for physician interpretation.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers and co-workers in a manner that reflects MACC s commitment to CARES: compassion, accountability, respect, excellence and service.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
Registry required, including 946 hours (6 months) of advanced training in Cardiac Ultrasound.
Previous experience in Echocardiography required.
High degree of technical aptitude.
Capable of working independently.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
Tactful, compassionate, consistent, highly dependable.
