  • Pay Rate = $2600/week

Description of job:

The Cath Lab Technologist assists physicians during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures. This role is responsible for preparing equipment, monitoring patients, and ensuring a sterile and safe procedural environment while delivering high-quality patient care.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or related field
  • Completion of an accredited cardiovascular or radiologic technologist program
  • Certification such Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred
    OR certification by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in Radiography (R)
  • Valid state license in GA
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a Cath Lab or interventional setting preferred
  • Experience assisting in cardiac catheterization or interventional radiology procedures is a plus

Responsibilities:
  • Assist cardiologists and physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures (e.g., angiograms, stent placements, pacemaker insertions)
  • Prepare and maintain the catheterization laboratory, ensuring all equipment is sterile and functioning properly
  • Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic data during procedures
  • Operate imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
  • Administer medications under physician supervision as permitted
  • Scrub in and assist with sterile techniques during procedures
  • Prepare patients pre-procedure and provide post-procedure care instructions
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, including cardiac events
  • Maintain accurate patient records and procedural documentation
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety and infection control standards
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
