Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist Profession: Allied Health Specialty: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 8 hours (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM) + call Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Active license required for specific credentials Certifications: BLS Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or ARRT (must be registered with NDMIRT) Must-Have: Experience with panning is acceptable; scrubbing experience is preferred. Familiarity with equipment such as IABP, Impella, Shockwave, Laser, IFR/FFR, IVUS, Rotapro, and 4-port manifold. Experience with IV starts is preferred but not mandatory. Description: Radiation badge must be supplied prior to the start. The position is within a cardiac catheterization laboratory. Responsibilities include scrubbing in and/or panning for procedures, as well as starting IVs. Common procedures include emergent revascularization, left heart catheterization, right heart catheterization, and various diagnostic and interventional procedures. On average, four cases are performed per day. Team lead will manage scheduling, published 17 days prior for six weeks at a time. Call requirements include 1-2 weeknight call days and every third weekend on call from Friday to Monday morning. Response time for call is required within 20 minutes. Assist in pre/post care for heart and vascular patients as needed. Dress code is provided, and hospital-designated shoes are required. All additional time-off requests must be submitted upfront and will not be approved after submissions.
