Procedural Scrubbing & Circulating: Scrub in and directly assist interventional cardiologists during high-acuity diagnostic, therapeutic, and peripheral vascular procedures (including coronary angiograms, PCI, pacemakers, and structural heart cases like TAVR if applicable).
Hemodynamic Waveform Monitoring: Operate complex physiological recording systems (e.g., Mac-Lab or Witt); precisely track, record, and interpret real-time hemodynamic waveforms, intracardiac pressures, and continuous ECG changes to quickly identify arrhythmias or patient distress.
Imaging System Operation: Safely position and operate advanced single-plane or biplane fluoroscopic imaging systems, manage automated contrast injectors, and strictly enforce radiation safety standards (ALARA principles) within the suite.
Emergency On-Call Rotation: Actively participate in the department's emergency on-call pool (covering weeknights, weekends, and holidays) to provide rapid-response coverage for acute ST-elevation myocardial infarctions (STEMI).
