Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year experience required. License: Must have an active license in hand at submission. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT, RCIS required. Must-Have: First-timers accepted. Will work 2-3 weekends per contract. Call required as needed. Cerner experience required. Description: Position requires work in a Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath lab. Experience with cardiac implant closure devices, cardiac stent placement, and diagnostic catheterizations is necessary. Skills required include IABP placement/removal, interpretation of dysrhythmias, left and right heart catheterizations, and PCI. Experience with procedural responsibilities such as equipment setup and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias is essential. Infection control skills including isolation precautions and sterile technique are mandatory. Candidates must be familiar with patient age-specific competencies for middle and older adults. The daily caseload consists of approximately 25 patients in a facility with 5 rooms. Candidates may be required to float within the facility as needed. Travelers must arrive 3 business days prior to the stated start date to meet compliance requirements. Candidates cannot have more than 5 days of requested time off during the contract. Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. All necessary modules must be completed on time prior to start.
