Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 2 years minimum in a STEMI/PCI facility License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT Must-Have: ARRT certification in hand at time of submission STEMI ready to apply IABP and Impella training Description: One week day call per week; every 5th weekend call. Average daily census is 25-30 patients. There are 7 rooms available in the lab. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. If you have electrophysiology experience, you will float to EP as needed if Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology cases are low. Calls are required during the 13-week contract. Two weekends from Friday 6 PM to Monday 7 AM, plus one night each week will be expected. Over holidays, such as summer or winter, one holiday of call is also expected. Experience with electronic medical records, specifically Epic, is necessary. General skills required include IV starts and EKGs. Experience in interventional radiology and procedures such as stents, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, and thoracentesis is needed. Interventional catheterization lab experience is preferred. Work settings include outpatient and inpatient environments. Travelers will be accepted based on experience only; no local candidates will be considered. Staffing may include floating to other units and/or facilities as needed. Epic charting experience is required. Reference contacts from within the last 24 months will be necessary for verification.
