Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience required License: AART and state license, OR RCIS Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - AART and state license, OR RCIS - BLS and ACLS certifications - Preferred Radiology Technologist with state license - Experience scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring Cath Lab procedures Description: The Cath Lab Tech will be responsible for scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring various procedures. Procedures include Coronary Angiograms with PCI, Pacemakers, and Peripheral Aortograms. A call requirement of 8-12 call shifts per month and one weekend of call is required each month. Candidates must have experience in accurate monitoring, Angioplasty, Aortography, and Cardiac Stent Placement. Familiarity with Diagnostic Cardiac procedures, Electrophysiology Lab, and equipment setup is necessary. Skills in hemodynamic monitoring, IABP Placement/Removal, and Impella insertion are essential. The role also includes the interpretation of dysrhythmias and maintaining a sterile field during procedures. Furthermore, candidates should be skilled in the recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias and stock supplies. Additional skills such as Pacemaker Insertion, performing EKG lead placement, and transcatheter procedures are preferred. Candidates must demonstrate competency in maintaining equipment and inventory. Experience with various cath lab and cardiology-related technologies is required. Knowledge of vascular closure systems and temporary pacemaker techniques is advantageous.
