Description:
The position is for a Cath Lab Technologist in a Cardiac Cath Lab.
The work schedule consists of Monday through Friday with 8-hour shifts.
Call is required 1 to 2 nights per week and every third weekend.
The department consists of 4 labs, including 3 cardiac labs and 1 EP lab.
On average, there are 6-7 cardiac cases and 1-2 vascular IR cases per day.
Common diagnoses include CAD, NSTEMI, STEMI, heart failure, and aortic stenosis.
Responsibilities include monitoring, circulating, and scrubbing cases, as well as assisting the physician.
Experience with EMR systems such as Cerner and Merge is preferred.
The on-call coverage for cardiologists is from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM or until cases are completed.
Shifts do not allow for self-scheduling.
Typical call rotation is 1:3, with the option to take more if desired.
The response time for call is 30 minutes.
There may be a need to float depending on coverage.
Scrubs are provided by the facility.
