Join our team as a cath lab tech (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) and play a vital role on a team that values your expertise—while enjoying the excitement of a new location. Earn full time pay and benefits while you assist physicians and other Cath lab personnel in conducting vital diagnostic tests and procedures; and operate advanced medical equipment to capture crucial images and data of the heart and blood vessels.


What You'll Need:

  • ARRT certified Radiologic Technologist or equivalent credential.
  • BLS & ACLS Certification (American Heart Association preferred).
  • State specific licensing when required.
  • At least 1 year of Cath Lab experience. First-time travelers accepted.
  • Required cardio-vascular skills: peripheral angiogram/run-off experience is required. Must have cath lab experience. Experience with endografts, EVAR, and TEVAR preferred; if lacking, must be willing to be trained and submit for manager approval if missing experience.
  • Required certifications for role: ARRT-R or RCIS.
  • Preferred: experience in interventional radiology or working in a lab with vascular surgeons.


Minimum Requirements

  • Cardiac Cath Tech credential: ARRT-R or RCIS required.
  • BLS and ACLS required.
  • Minimum of 1 year Cath Lab experience in a hospital setting required. First-time travelers may be accepted.
  • Peripheral angiogram/run-off experience required. Experience with EVAR/TEVAR/endografts highly preferred; willing to train acceptable with manager approval.
  • Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred.
  • Ability to work in a high-acuity hospital environment including Level I Trauma and teaching hospital settings preferred.


Assignment Details

  • Primary Specialty: Cath Lab Tech.
  • Facility Type: Hospital.
  • City, State: Charlotte, NC.
  • Shift Name: Days.
  • Shift Hours: 0730-1800.
  • Shift Pattern: 4x10 (four 10-hour shifts).
  • Duration: 13 Week travel assignment.
  • Standard Hours Per Week: 40.
  • Unit information: Cardiac catheterization laboratory with 4 cardiac rooms and 3 vascular rooms.
  • On-call and weekend expectations: Vascular staff cover two weekends per month and two weekdays of call (response time 1 hour). Cardiac staff have one call night per week and one every 5th weekend (response time 30 minutes). Manager will discuss specific call assignments during interview.
  • Orientation: 1 week before on-call plus departmental orientation days and Epic module training.
  • Technology/Equipment: Epic EMR, Merge hemodynamic system, Philips/GE/Siemens x-ray equipment, Philips monitors, Omnicell med dispensing, ISCV PACS.
  • Parking: Free. Scrub color: Green and provided.
