Are you ready to take your expertise as a cardiovascular technologist to new heights. Join a hospital-based Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory team in Charlotte, NC and play a vital role assisting physicians and Cath lab personnel in diagnostic and interventional procedures. Operate advanced imaging equipment to capture crucial data of the heart and vascular system while supporting a high-acuity patient population.
What You'll Need:
- Required: Cardiac Cath Tech or RN with Cath Lab experience.
- Required certifications: BLS and ACLS.
- Required clinical experience: Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience, including peripheral angiogram/run-off experience.
- Required skills: Experience with cath lab case workflows, pre/post-procedure documentation, and familiarity with hemodynamic monitoring and management of pressors (for RN candidates).
- Required EMR experience: Charting in EPIC preferred.
- Required modalities and familiarity: Experience with Philips, GE, or Siemens imaging systems preferred; experience using Merge Hemo and ISCV PACS is beneficial.
- Preferred certifications: ARRT-R or RCIS, strongly preferred.
- Preferred experience: Prior work in IR or a vascular lab, and exposure to endografts, EVAR, TEVAR, or TAVR procedures.
- First-time travelers: Accepting first-time travelers.
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Hospital - Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
- Shift: Days.
- Shift hours: 0700-1800.
- Typical case mix: Cardiac cases (NON-STEMI, STEMI, TAVR, Watchman, Mitral Clip) and vascular cases (lower extremity angiograms, EVAR, TEVAR).
- Unit size: 4 cardiac rooms and 3 vascular rooms.
- On-call/Weekend expectations: On-call rotation includes two weekends per month and two weekdays of call; weekend rotation discussed during interview.
- Orientation: Departmental orientation prior to start, including unit orientation and EPIC modules.
- Scheduling notes: Schedule cycles and RTO coverage discussed during interview; travelers may cover each other’s RTO as needed.
