Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Technician Profession: Technician Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Two or more years of Cath Lab and/or Electrophysiology experience License: RCIS or RAD required Certifications: BLS & ACLS required Must-Have: - Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities - Ability to maintain confidentiality - Effective communication skills, both verbal and written - Effective interpersonal skills Description: The Cath Lab technician works in a multidisciplinary lab. The technician supports patients undergoing invasive diagnostic cardiac and vascular testing or interventional procedures. The role involves performing scrub and monitoring duties. Utilizing all aspects of catheterization equipment is essential. The technician must apply prescribed procedures for the operation of radiology imaging equipment. Experience in structural heart, diagnostic, and therapeutic coronary and peripheral procedures is important. Candidates must be able to scrub and assist in procedures for peripheral and diagnostic studies. Experience in other specialties will be a plus. The schedule typically includes Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM with variable start times. There is a call schedule of approximately one weekend a month and one day a week.
