Job Description
- Prepares and assists during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, and other interventional procedures.
- Prepares patients for procedures, including positioning, sterile draping, and connecting monitoring devices.
- Operates and troubleshoots complex imaging systems and monitors during cardiac procedures.
- Maintains strict sterile field standards and ensures compliance with infection prevention protocols.
- Ensures proper use of radiation protection measures for patients and staff.
- Accurately records procedural data, hemodynamic measurements, and patient information in electronic medical systems.
- Assists in managing cardiac emergencies and performs CPR or other life-saving interventions as necessary.
- Works closely with cardiologists, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Maintains cath lab supplies, monitors equipment functionality, and reports malfunctions promptly.
- Participates in continuing education to stay current with advances in cath lab technology and procedures.
