Job Title: Cath Lab Technician Profession: Cath Lab Technician Specialty: Cath Lab Technician Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00 AM - 05:30 PM Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Licensure with the Department of Health Certifications: Certified with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Must-Have: - Experience with angioplasty - Experience with percutaneous intervention - Familiarity with Impella and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) - Knowledge of atherectomy devices and techniques (Rotablader) - Experience with temporary venous pacemaker and Swan Ganz placement - Scrubbing technique for procedures encouraged Description: The Cath Lab Technician position involves working in a cardiac catheterization lab. Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of experience in the field. The schedule includes four 10-hour shifts, two weekdays each week, and every third weekend. Weekend call will be from Friday at 5:30 PM to Monday at 7:00 AM. Out-of-hospital response time is 30 minutes from activation. Department equipment includes Philips, Siemens, and GE fluoroscopy systems. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. Experience with the listed equipment is preferred but not mandatory.
