Job health care services using cardiovascular, endovascular and neurovascular imaging and interventional procedures. Performs care requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgement and skill. Exercises professional judgement in performance of services and maintains demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. Job Responsibilities:-Demonstrates competency through annual education and completes validation tools for Unit Specific Requirements: -IABP/Impella -Hemodynamic monitoring -Arterial/venous sheath removals and/or closure devices -Assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures -Assisting physicians during the implantation of a permanent pacemaker/ICDs -Aseptic technique -Competency with interventional procedures such as but not limited to; thrombectomy, stenting, angioplasty, IVUS, OCT, FFR, and structural heart -Management of complications such as but not limited to; air emboli, stroke, anaphylaxis reactions, and cardiac tamponade. -Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and co-workers to ensure a professional and courteous environment. -Assumes responsibility for provision of physical and psychological needs of the patient during the procedure. -Contributes positively to a work environment through words and actions. -Maintains professional composure and confidence during stressful situations. -Maintains open communication using appropriate chain of command regarding issues -Conducts all work activities with respect for rights and wishes of patients, visitors, families, and co-workers. -Maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information at all times. -Participates in staff meetings as determined by director. -Supports the hospital s mission and values. -Practices standards of BHLex Commitment of Co-Worker and Standards of Behavior documents. -Promotes effective procedural workflow and works as a team to facilitate the department s ability to provide quality patient care. -Follows Attendance Policy. -Practice radiation safety. -Uses equipment safely. -Utilize ALARA (As Low as Reasonably Achievable) for all exams. -Performs and records quality control checks. -Applies principles of radiation safety to patient, co-workers, and self. Required Qualifications • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. • Current ARRT certification and state licensure as required. • Current BLS and ACLS certification. NIHSS preferred but not required. • Minimum of 2–3 years of recent Cath Lab experience. (in a busier lab) • Demonstrated experience scrubbing and operating imaging equipment during cardiac catheterization procedures. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.   Preferred Qualifications • Previous travel healthcare experience. • Experience with Coronary Angiography, Stent, Impella, IABP, Laser, Lithotripsy, OCT, IVUS, IFR/FFR, Mechanical Thrombectomy, temporary pacemaker, peripheral interventions. • Experience with multiple cath lab documentation and imaging systems.
