Procedural Scrubbing & Circulating: Scrub in and directly assist interventional cardiologists during high-acuity diagnostic, interventional, and peripheral vascular procedures (including left/right heart caths, PCI with Rotablator/Shockwave, pericardiocentesis, and IABP/Impella placement).
Hemodynamic Waveform Monitoring: Operate complex physiological recording systems; precisely track, record, and interpret real-time hemodynamic waveforms, intracardiac pressures, and continuous ECG changes to instantly alert the physician to abnormalities or active arrhythmias.
Imaging System Operation: Safely position and operate advanced single-plane or biplane fluoroscopic imaging equipment, manage automated contrast injectors, and strictly practice radiation safety standards (ALARA principles) within the suite.
Emergency On-Call Rotation: Participate actively in the department's emergency on-call pool (covering weeknights and weekends) to provide rapid-response coverage for acute ST-elevation myocardial infarctions (STEMI).
