Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Profession: Cardiac Cath Lab Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-17:30 Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in the cardiovascular specialty License: Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required Certifications: Must obtain and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Adult Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: Minimum of an Associate Degree or graduate of an approved Cardiovascular Training Program or graduate from an accredited Allied Health Program Description: Invasive Cardiovascular Technologists are allied health professionals. They perform diagnostic examinations at the request or direction of an Interventional Cardiologist. This includes invasive cardiology, noninvasive cardiology, and/or peripheral vascular study procedures. Through subjective data collection and recording, the technologist obtains information. This information is used to establish a correct anatomical and physiological diagnosis for each patient. Call commitment is 1 week night and 1 weekend per month. Candidates must have at least 2 years in the cardiovascular specialty. Floating to other units may be required. Number of beds in the facility is not specified.
