Job Title: Cath Lab Technician Profession: Cath Lab Technician Specialty: Cath Lab Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: ARRT-R or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certifications: BCLS (AHA), ACLS (required within 30 days of hire) Must-Have: Proficient computer skills Description: Under the general direction of the physician, assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Ensure the procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure. Monitor par levels of all instruments and supplies. Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities. Assist in the training of new staff. Support all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures. Previous experience in a cardiovascular lab or interventional radiology department is required. Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis on invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring is preferred. Maintain current BCLS certification upon hire. ACLS certification is required within 30 days of hire. Proficient computer skills are necessary.
