Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with strong interventional and STEMI experience, including scrub experience with TVARs, Watchman, and Ablations, for a 13-week travel contract at a short-term acute care hospital.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting, Cardiac Cath Lab unit
- Alternating day shifts: 4x10-hour shifts, either 7:30 AM–6:00 PM or 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
- On-call required: approximately 10–12 call shifts per month with a 30-minute response time; call duration is 12–14 hours and begins at shift completion, or at 5:00 PM on non-working days
- Charting performed in Cerner (experience required)
- Travelers may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
Requirements
- Minimum 18 months of Cath Lab experience
- Strong experience with interventional procedures and STEMI management
- Scrub experience with TVARs, Watchman, and Ablations required
- Active ARRT(R) certification required
- Current ACLS and BLS (AHA or RQI accepted) required
- Active Indiana or Compact state license required; pending license accepted if application has been submitted
- Cerner EMR experience required
- 2 supervisor references required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Indiana residents are considered local candidates and are accepted at a lower pay package
- Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Up to 5 days of RTO can be auto-approved
- Former permanent or PRN employees of IU Health must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
- Current or past IU Health travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health are required to take a consecutive break to reset eligibility: out-of-state residents require a 90-day break and in-state residents require a 180-day break
