Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of cardiac cath lab experience and required ARRT R and Fluoro Permit certifications for a community hospital in Laguna Hills, CA.
Details
- Community hospital setting performing both interventional cardiology and interventional radiology procedures
- Adult and geriatric patient population with 1:1 patient ratios
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- On call required one day per week and every third weekend in rotation
- Candidates may float within the hospital based on census
- Wide range of cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, TAVR, Watchman, Impella, IABP, and pacemaker insertion
- Performs interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placements, IVC filter placement/removal, and nephrostomy
- Utilizes fluoroscopy and Siemens imaging equipment
- Responsible for equipment set up, maintenance, and supply stocking
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a cardiac cath lab environment required
- Current ACLS, BLS, ARRT R, CRT, and Fluoro Permit required
- RCIS certification preferred
- License required if applicable
- Community hospital experience required
- Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures required
- Proficiency in scrub procedures, sterile technique, and PACS system required
- Skilled in EKG lead placement, access site prep, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
- Must be able to work with adult and geriatric patient populations
- 1 professional reference required within the past 2 years
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include scrubbing procedures, maintaining sterile fields, and monitoring patients during cardiac and interventional radiology cases
- Performs equipment set up and maintenance, and stocks supplies as needed
- Adheres to isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and infection control standards
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
- Previous perm staff at this facility are not eligible for consideration
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
- RTO must be submitted at time of consideration and cannot be added afterward
