Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Technologist Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: IL License Certifications: EP certified, BLS Must-Have: - Ability to perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures in a clinical setting. - Operate conventional, fluoroscopic, or radiology equipment to obtain images of designated body parts according to physician specifications and/or orders. - Assist the physician with the performance of various diagnostic and interventional procedures. - Monitor and pass instruments and catheters. - Observe patient response to procedures and maintain sterile fields. - Interpret and evaluate diagnostic data to be utilized by the physician. - Applicable Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Radiology required or completion of an accredited radiology technology program. - Experience in special procedures preferred. Description: The Cath Lab Tech performs diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures. The technician operates radiology equipment to obtain necessary images. Assistance is provided to physicians during procedures. This includes monitoring patients and maintaining sterile environments. The role involves interpreting diagnostic data for physician use. Candidates must hold a relevant degree or have completed an accredited program in radiology. Experience with special procedures is preferred. The position includes on-call responsibilities and holiday rotations.
