Are you ready to take your expertise as a cardiovascular technologist to new heights? Join a hospital in Chicago, IL as a Cath Lab Tech (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) and contribute to a high-acuity, teaching hospital with Level 1 trauma, comprehensive stroke services, and a Magnet designation. Work with advanced imaging and hemodynamic equipment while assisting physicians and cath lab staff during diagnostic and interventional procedures.


Minimum Qualifications

  • ARRT certified Radiologic Technologist.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years' Cath Lab experience in a hospital setting.
  • Tech-specific required certification: ARRT required; RCIS from CCI preferred but ARRT acceptable. RCIS alone is not sufficient.
  • Experience with diagnostic and interventional cath lab procedures including LHC/RHC, NSTEMI/STEMI care, Impella, IABP, Rotoblator, CTOs/staged PCI, peripheral diagnostic/intervention, and EP procedures such as pacemaker and AICD cases preferred.
  • Experience with equipment and modalities such as IVUS, FFR, EKOS, medrad, Phillips hemodynamics, PACS, and c-arm imaging preferred.
  • State-specific licensure when required.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with laser lead extraction, Rotoblator, Impella and IABP management, and pacemaker/ICD procedures.
  • Skills in groin site management, scrub and pan table setup, and moderate sedation support.
  • Familiarity with Epic EMR and unit technologies such as Alaris pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing.


Assignment Details

  • Shift hours: 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
  • 40 hours per week.
  • On-call requirement for RNs and Techs. Weekend rotations follow a call schedule in 4-week increments.
  • Orientation: 1 day on the unit with NEO (facility orientation).
  • No floating to other facilities.
