Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology/Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring Cath Lab procedures. License: AART and California license, OR RCIS Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Experience with Coronary Angiograms with PCI, Pacemakers, and Peripheral Aortograms. Call requirement of 8-12 call shifts per month and one weekend of call required per month. Description: The Cath Lab Tech is responsible for performing various procedures in the Cath Lab. The procedures include overseeing and assisting with Coronary Angiograms and Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI). The role involves monitoring patients during interventional procedures. Candidates must be skilled in scrubbing and circulating. Experience in Electrophysiology lab work is an asset. The Cath Lab Tech will also facilitate patient safety and comfort during procedures. Strong communication skills are required for effective collaboration with the medical team. Additional responsibilities include maintaining sterile environments and managing equipment. The position demands a detail-oriented individual with excellent monitoring and technical skills. Candidates should be familiar with hemodynamic monitoring and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias.
