Key Responsibilities of the Cath Lab Tech
Perform diagnostic cardiac catheterizations
Conduct interventional procedures such as PTCA and PCI
Set up and maintain sterile fields and equipment
Participate in scrub procedures and operate catheterization equipment
Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias
Assist with cardiac stent placement and rotablator atherectomy
Interpret dysrhythmias and manage isolation precautions/PPE
Requirements of the Cath Lab Tech
ARRT or RCIS certification
ACLS and BLS certifications
Minimum of 2 years of recent cath lab experience
Experience with left and right heart catheterization
Familiarity with Allscripts charting system preferred
