Must-Have:
Must have 2 years of Cath Lab experience and be able to take call.
Radiologic Technologist trained in all aspects of scrubbing and operating the X-ray equipment associated with procedures for both the Cardiac Cath Lab and Special Procedures lab.
Description:
Supports and promotes the mission and values of the organization.
Scrubs in for Cardiac Cath Lab and Special Procedures.
Pans heart catheters.
Evaluates images to ensure they possess the density, contrast, detail, and structures to allow the physician to make a diagnosis.
Performs special procedures radiography using appropriate equipment according to department procedures.
Maintains procedural areas in a neat and orderly manner, prepared throughout the day for examinations, with special emphasis at the end of shift.
Cleans tables and equipment and readies them for the next patient.
Restocks materials as needed.
Completes assigned examinations within the prescribed amount of time according to procedure.
Reports for duty in a timely manner, in scrubs, ready for patient care.
Reviews requisitions for pertinent information and special requests.
Positions and preps patients and sets up equipment for all procedures.
Scrubs and assists physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Reports all unusual reactions or conditions to the nurse.
Uses judgment in providing information based on the situation and is sensitive to individual and organizational concerns.
Demonstrates willingness to rotate among various shifts or departments to adjust staffing to meet patient care needs.
Performs other duties that are consistent with this role.
Explains to and includes the patient in their care.
Competencies to include but are not limited to Balloon Pump and Impella.
Completion of a certificate or degree course of study in radiologic technology is required.
An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be considered.
Holiday coverage is required.
