Procedural Scrubbing & Circulating: Scrub in and directly assist interventional cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including balloon angioplasties, coronary stenting, and pacemaker insertions.
Hemodynamic Waveform Monitoring: Operate complex physiological recording systems; precisely track, document, and interpret real-time hemodynamic waveforms, intracardiac pressures, and continuous ECG changes to instantly alert the physician to abnormalities.
Fluoroscopic Equipment Operation: Safely position and operate single-plane or biplane fluoroscopic imaging equipment, manage automated contrast media injectors, and strictly enforce radiation safety measures (ALARA principles) within the procedural suite.
Emergency On-Call Rotation: Actively participate in the department's emergency on-call pool to provide rapid-response coverage for acute ST-elevation myocardial infarctions (STEMI) and emergent vascular cases during weeknights and weekends.
