Procedural Scrubbing & Circulating: Scrub in and directly assist interventional cardiologists during diagnostic, therapeutic, and complex structural heart procedures (e.g., coronary angiograms, angioplasties, stenting, pacemakers, ICD placements, and structural heart cases like TAVR if applicable).
Hemodynamic Waveform Monitoring: Operate advanced physiological recording software; continuously track, document, and interpret real-time hemodynamic waveforms, intracardiac pressures, and ECG changes during high-acuity procedures.
Imaging System Operation: Position and operate single-plane or biplane fluoroscopic imaging equipment, manage automated contrast media injectors, and strictly enforce radiation safety measures (ALARA principles) within the suite.
Emergency On-Call Rotation: Actively participate in the department's weeknight and weekend emergency on-call pool to provide rapid-response coverage for acute ST-elevation myocardial infarctions (STEMI) and emergent cases.
