Travel Cath Lab Tech - $3,708 per week in Bakersfield, CA

Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist Profession: Allied Health Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12-Hour Days Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of current cath lab experience License: Required Certifications: ARRT, BLS Certification, Fluoroscopy Must-Have: - Must be comfortable with conscious and moderate sedation. - Must have experience with procedural processes, airway management, and cardiac drips (such as Integrilin, dopamine, and vasopressors). - Must have experience with balloon pumps. Description: Cath Lab Technologists perform procedures with 2 technologists, one scrubbing and one monitoring hemodynamics. Registered Nurses are responsible for conscious sedation during cases. There may be a 4th person present depending on the case, either an RN or a tech. A Lead Tech is in charge of room assignments. The facility handles STEMI cases and involves a variety of procedures including cardiac/coronary, vascular, peripheral, general IR, and neuro intervention. The lab consists of 5 suites, with specific suites designated primarily for coronary cases, peripheral cases, vascular and neuro cases, and EP cases. An average of 10-22 cases are performed daily. Technologists rotate on-call for inpatient and emergent cases, typically 1 time per week. Weekend call occurs 1 weekend per month from Friday evening through Monday morning, subject to change based on unit needs. The cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shift cancellations during a 13-week assignment. Charting is performed using a specified electronic system. No BSN is required for this position.
