Job Title: Cardiovascular & Electrophysiology Specialist Profession: Cardiovascular & Electrophysiology Specialist Specialty: - Duration: - Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10-hour shifts Experience: Minimum Years of Experience: - License: - Certifications: - Must-Have: - Cardiovascular Specialist/Electrophysiology Specialist Description: Demonstrates evidence-based practice and performs care for the comfort and wellbeing of the patient. Performs and/or assists with treatments, therapies, and procedures under the direction of the physician. Administers medication under the direct supervision of the physician, as appropriate. Documents a current clinical picture and records designated information in the patient record. Conveys relevant information to physicians and teammates. Calculates, interprets and analyzes data. Assists in the development of policies, procedures and standards of care reflective of current practice and literature. Highly recommended to participate in committee and governance activities. Schedule Notes: Intermittent to rapid pace with high-pressure situations, requiring periods of prolonged concentration and critical thinking. Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 50 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required. Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch, manual dexterity, and good eye-hand coordination are necessary. Standing and walking while wearing 10-20 lbs lead radiation protection aprons is required. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions. Potential exposure to radiation, secretions and blood may occur. Confined work area. Preferred Experience: Procedural or Operating Room experience preferred. Education: Satisfactory completion of high school and an accredited program of Cardiovascular/Cardiopulmonary technology is required. Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist/Electrophysiology Specialist training or experience is preferred. Graduate of an accredited Allied Health Technology program, such as Radiologic Technology or Respiratory Therapy, or a comparable field. Graduate of Cardiovascular Interventional Program or minimum of two years of experience as a Cardiovascular Specialist.
