Location/locations: Meijer Heart Center Shift Time: 0800-1830 Hours: 40hrsShift length: 10 hours Weekend rotation: None On Call: None Required certifications: (R) - ARRT, (RCES), (RCIS), ACLS, BLS Scrub Color: Hospital Provided Job Description: Job Summary: Assess hemodynamics/cardiac calculations operate equipment, document procedures, site management, patient/family education, patient preparation, sterile technique, processing and saving images, electrical mapping, responsibility for preparation of the access site, intraprocedural handling of instruments, maintenance of sterile field, evaluation of changing conditions during procedures. Responsible for maintaining basic knowledge of congenital, vascular, structural, cardiac, and electrophysiological procedures. Device pocket closure. Responsible for taking call to cover urgent/emergent procedures. Participates in ongoing process improvement activities, department level education, and adheres to unit based standard work. Creates and maintains a sterile and safe environment and provides sterile instruments and supplies to assist in procedures. Communicates and collaborates with patients and other members of the health care team to ensure continuity and coordination of services Monitor patients undergoing invasive and interventional procedures, capturing and recording hemodynamic/physiologic wave forms and performing calculations. Depending on specialty, must be able to utilize IVUS, FFR, OCT, ICE, Shockwave, IABP, Impella, Atherectomy (laser and rotational), 3D mapping and provide support for cardiac, ablation, peripheral, laser lead extractions, structural heart interventions, pediatric congenital interventions, and implantable device procedures, including pocket closures. Circulates procedures as second circulator, gathering equipment for the procedure, obtaining and resulting ACT and oximetry. Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis. Supplier must take system action to implement agreed upon rate changes prior to the week the change becomes effective. It is highly recommended that timesheet reconciliation and issue inquiry/correction is performed by the supplier prior to the 45 days. No other forms of invoicing are accepted outside of our timesheet approval process.
