Duties: Develop market research plans, including competitor and market analysis, and create formal market research processes. Recommend marketing strategies based on market research results in compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements, including incorporating obsolescence plans, future market trends, and the PCLM plan. Evaluate products, services, and markets of multiple competitors and develop competitor analysis. Incorporate competitor analysis into marketing strategy, including potential adoption of competitors advanced technologies and tools. Develop, maintain, and leverage diverse networks to maintain competitor knowledge. Monitor market activity, market penetration, and competitive wins and losses. Identify new customer groups and tailor marketing strategies to meet both current and prospective customer needs. Create strategy to identify and establish relationships with new Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to provide impactful feedback on business strategy. Deploy resources to measure, monitor, and direct changes to enhance the marketing strategy. Coach regarding approaches and tools for conducting market research, identify product and service opportunities, and summarize qualitative and quantitative studies. Ensure coworkers awareness of industry standards and best practices. Lead the National Professional Development Program (NPDP) process from start to finish. Oversee the development activities for multiple products or product lines, including influence the innovation and development of products. Guide others to deconstruct and extract the marketing strategy from the marketing plan, including spot weaknesses in the process and provide necessary direction regarding improvements. Communicate the marketing plan to key stakeholders to gain organizational agreement. Guide teams through core competence exercises, including impact of market changes. Coach team members to develop future skills and strategic assets needed to compete, including the application of core competence to ensure strategy-through-execution alignment and anticipate future needs. Evaluate sponsored trials, registries, economic analyses, and investigator-initiated grants to derive a clinical evidence generation strategy. Guide teams in the creation of goal trees, including considering overall company goals in the context of the strategic plan and market dynamics. Mentor others on how to connect FE/business goals brand vision and marketing strategy. Guide teams in allocating and reallocating marketing resources to meet stakeholder demands. Anticipate market dynamics that impact acquisition and retention objectives and make proactive recommendations, including linking the marketing budget to these objectives. Guide teams through strategic focus and the four quadrant opportunity analysis, including investment tradeoffs and competitive and market implications. Define marketing opportunities and estimate resource requirements to target each of the four customer groups: nonusers; exclusive users; competitive users; and multi-brand users. Establish multi-channel strategies for diverse products, services, and markets. Manage the product life cycle with clear multi-generational planning, develop contingency plans in the event of a supply chain interruption, and establish mechanisms for communicating with product developers. Perform economic value analysis to identify key drivers to establish pricing strategy, including contract pricing. Manage price competition for the FE and assure alignment with overall business unit pricing goals, including Profit and Loss (P&L) drivers. Design alternative approaches for determining revenue and profit potential given different pricing approaches. Identify oppor unities to modify pricing strategy based on market conditions and PLCM. 
Minimum 60% travel required including both domestic and international travel. 
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in any field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and 8 years of experience supporting products/procedures and guiding development teams to maximize the returns in a portfolio. Alternatively, Master's degree in any field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and 6 years of experience supporting products/procedures and guiding development teams to maximize the returns in a portfolio. Specific skills/other requirements (quantitative experience requirement not applicable to this section) -- demonstrated expertise (DE) supporting sports medicine live surgeries; DE performing cadaveric sports medicine surgeries and running development labs; DE discussing hip, shoulder, and knee sports medicine relevant anatomy with surgeons; DE completing competitive product analysis and prioritization of user needs; DE working with fluid dynamics and radio frequency ablation; and 2 years of DE in the sports medicine field.
