Job Description
The Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) will play a vital role in assisting with invasive cardiac procedures. Responsibilities include preparing the procedure room and sterile field, setting up sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment, and maintaining a sterile environment. The CVT will function in multiple roles within the procedure team, including scrub, circulator, and documenter/monitor. Strong organizational skills are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the procedure room and sterile field for surgical procedures.
- Anticipate equipment needs during procedures and operate accordingly.
- Maintain sterile instruments and areas throughout the procedure.
- Perform varying roles in the procedure team, ensuring efficient workflow.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab Tech experience.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through CCI or ARRT (preference for ARRT).
- Experience in Right Heart and Left Heart Hemodynamics, Cardiac Interventions, CTO, PCI, Pericardiocentesis, and Vascular Interventions.
- Mechanical Circulatory Support Experience: ECMO, Impella, IABP, ProtekDuo.
- Structural Heart experience including TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, CardioMEMS, PFO, ASD, VSD, Valvuloplasty.
- Critical care or cardiac experience is required.
- Current certification in BLS (AHA) and ACLS.
- COVID vaccine card showing completion of the COVID series is required.
