DAY-SHIFT PEDIATRIC CARDIAC CATH LAB TECH CONTRACT – DELL CHILDREN’S MEDICAL CENTER

First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel contract opening for an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist specializing in pediatric cardiology in Austin, Texas. Operating within the dedicated Pediatric Cardiac Cath Lab at Dell Children’s Medical Center (Ascension), this position features an early 5x8 daytime schedule (06:45 AM - 15:15 PM / 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM, Monday through Friday). If you are a credentialed RCIS or ARRT cardiovascular specialist proficient in pediatric congenital cardiac caths, EP, and interventional procedures looking to earn an exceptional $3,048/week with maximum tax-free stipends in Austin, this premier opportunity is built for you!

PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

• Weekly Gross: $3,048.00
• Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,848.00
• Hourly W2 Rate: $30.00/hr (40 regular hours)
• Overtime Rate: $45.00/hr

SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

• Schedule: Day shifts, 5x8-Hours (06:45 AM - 15:15 PM / 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM, Monday – Friday).
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
• On-Call Requirements: Rotational on-call coverage for off-shifts and weekends as scheduled by the department.
• Work Setting & Specialty Focus: Pediatric Cardiac Cath Lab performing diagnostic, interventional heart procedures, Interventional Radiology (IR), and Electrophysiology (EP) for neonatal, pediatric, and adolescent populations.
• Core Competencies: Active physiological and hemodynamic monitoring (rhythms, intracardiac pressures, blood oxygen saturations, cardiac output, shunt calculations), scrubbing congenital heart interventions, anticipating catheter placement needs, sterile field maintenance, and post-procedure sheath/insertion site care.

REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

• Experience: Dedicated clinical Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist experience with pediatric or congenital cardiac procedure exposure.
• Licensure: Texas Medical Board (TMB) Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) License in hand (if submitting under ARRT).
• Certifications Required:
  • ARRT RT(R) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Onboarding Verification: Standard Ascension Medical Imaging onboarding modules, specialty exam, and background clearances.

Call Rotation Agreement: Candidate must agree upfront to participate in the rotating on-call coverage schedule. Submittal Rules & Compliance: Active ARRT RT(R) or RCIS credential, TX MRT license (if ARRT), and AHA BLS must be uploaded with the initial submittal packet.
