Job Summary:
Johnson City, New York This position is for a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist in a healthcare facility where the technologist will perform routine to complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under physician supervision within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. The role emphasizes patient care, technical support, and adherence to safety protocols, including radiation safety and equipment quality assurance.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shift, 8 hours per day, with 1 night per week call and 1 weekend per month call, totaling 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology, NYS Radiology Technologist license, ARRT(R) certification, BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross), 1 year minimum cath experience, ability to take STEMI call independently, and effective communication skills.

- Additional Information: Perform technical support for all Cath Lab procedures including catheterizations, angioplasty, structural heart interventions, peripheral angiography, temporary pacemaker insertions, and LV assist device insertions. Operate advanced imaging equipment following established protocols, ensure safety standards are maintained, and contribute to quality assurance programs. Instruct students and residents, and demonstrate knowledge of clinical coding and billing procedures related to Cath Lab services. Maintain supply inventory and demonstrate proficiency with healthcare information systems. Learn new techniques through ongoing education.
